The L.A times is reporting that Shaun White was arrested three nights ago for public intoxication and vandalism, for allegedly pulling a fire alarm when there was no fire and breaking a hotel phone. He was very apologetic for his unwise choices and says he got “carried away”. It seems he had a pretty rough night, as he had a black eye in his mug shot and was treated at a local hospital then release before being arrested and booked.
His Facebook status update read:
“I want to apologize for the unwise choices I made over the weekend and for any inconvenience it caused my family, friends, business partners, the hotel and their guests. I was celebrating a happy occasion with a ton of family and friends and got carried away. I’m truly sorry for my poor behavior”.
Shaun White at only 26 years of age is considered a snowboarding legend. He was mentored by Tony Hawk at the age of 9, turned pro at 17, and has won over 15 medals at sports competitions like the Action Sports Tour Champion, Summer X Games, Winter X Games, Winter Olympics, and the Air & Style Contest. Notably he’s a two time Olympic Gold medalist and became the first person to earn a perfect score of 100 at the 2012 Winter X Games.
