A rose by any other name… might be a meth pipe –
Convenience stores and gas stations retail it as a novelty idea, but is that just a cover-up for the “I Love You Rose” — a tiny plastic flower in a small glass vase with a hole on the top? Dr. Jason Fields who works at DACCO (a drug treatment center in Tampa) stated “this is drug paraphernalia.” Dr. Fields is an addiction specialist and says there is no doubt about it being paraphernalia and that the most well-known use of the item is a meth pipe. “The user would put it in a reservoir down here and heat up with a lighter or another device to a liquid. That melts the crystallized form of the drug so that it vaporizes and can be inhaled and they can smoke the meth.” The rose pipe that is made in China is found to be for sale throughout the Tampa bay area and sells for around $4.99 to $6.99. The FOX 13 news station went undercover and purchased pipes at several stores in Pinellas, Pasco and Hillsborough counties. A majority of the time, the clerk concealed it behind the counter until it was asked for. “That’s what really bothered me,” said Ellen Snelling with the nonprofit group, the Hillsborough County Drug Alliance. “If you are selling a gift, you would keep it on top of the counter so people could see it and buy it.” Each store clerk we purchased one from said they knew nothing about its use as a drug pipe.

Man found asleep behind the wheel –
You’re certain to draw a police officer’s attention if you’re sleeping behind the wheel of a pickup truck with the motor on; or, as the Niceville Police Department defined it, “passed out.” An officer stumbled across a pickup truck on Cedar Avenue with the motor running. “The driver of the truck was passed out in the driver seat,” the officer stated in the report. 22-year-old Christopher Donald Boudin was arrested for a DUI and taken to the police department. Shortly afterwards, the officers found a glass pipe and marijuana in the vehicle. Boudin was also charged with drug equipment possession and marijuana possession not more than 20 grams.
