As we say goodbye to the year 2013 and look forward to year 2014, we find ourselves looking back on all the good and bad times that have passed. 2013 was definitely a year full of a lot of different hot messes, especially with celebrities. I did my research and thought about the top 10 hottest messes of 2013.

Rob Ford, the mayor of Toronto, admitted after months of denial that he had smoked crack. He apologized promptly afterwards and then continued to say that he is staying on as mayor and doesn’t plan on leaving. Members of Toronto’s City Council asked Ford to take a leave of absence. He insisted that he doesn’t have a problem and isn’t an addict.

Miley Cyrus definitely caught a lot of attention after her performance at the VMA’s this year. She was grinding and ‘twerking’ onstage and making obscene facial expressions with her tongue. Another child star turned not-so-innocent. I know they want to be seen as grown-ups and all, but is that really the way to do it?

And last but not least, Kim Kardashians choice of maternity clothes in 2013 was a nightmare. She was seen wearing shoes that pretty much cut off circulation to her feet and an outfit on the red carpet that appeared to be a floral pattern like you would see on furniture or curtains. She might need a new stylist for the next time she decides to have a child because these outfits just didn’t work for her at all.
