Rihanna covertly visited her distressed ex-boyfriend Chris Brown during his latest stint in a Malibu rehab – instigating his on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran to dump him when she learned of the visit, says a source.
Rihanna flew on a private plane to see Brown at the Malibu rehab center where he is attending a court-ordered stretch in an anger management and drug recovery program, as told by a source to Confidenti@l. Brown arrived at the program in early November and was hit with an added two months by a judge in late February.
Internet gossip has placed Rihanna at Brown’s center in early December, but we’re told that was boloney. In January, a source of Confidenti@l states, she actually did come to at the center, spent a few hours with Brown and then jetted out rapidly, with only a small number of staffers knowing.
“With Chris in rehab, [he] and Karrueche spoke every day and she stood by his side. She took a vacation to Turks and Caicos and told friends the entire time that they were really good and happy together,” a source clarifies to Confidenti@l. “She trusts Chris, but when it comes to Rihanna, she has a zero-tolerance policy. Then she found out about the trip.”
The insider says to Confidenti@l that the back and forth amongst Tran and Rihanna over Brown has initiated Karrueche to loathe Rihanna. When she learned Rihanna had visited Chris, he at first denied it. “She believed him, but he finally admitted that Rihanna had come to see him. She put her foot down and cut him off completely,” states the source to Confidenti@l.
Tran newly tweeted: “Not dating anyone stop w the bs.” She has been jumping from hotel to hotel in Miami and New York for two months and is trying to put Brown out of her mind. She also took a short trip to Los Angeles to model. “She just looked at an apartment in Tribeca to buy,” says the source to Confidenti@l. “She isn’t taking any of Chris’ calls and he keeps calling her.”
The fighting babes’ pathways almost intersected two weeks ago when Rihanna was headed to Griffin in the Meatpacking District and learned Tran was hosting a party there. As for Rihanna andDrake, another ex whom she has been seen with lately, we’re told they’re now “best friends” and have been traveling together.
The pair celebrated at Soixante Dix Neuf nightclub after a Drake concert in Paris last month. They had dinner in Amsterdam on Thursday, and were seen having dinner Saturday at Nobu in London before heading to Powerhouse Studio to jam together. Rihanna’s rep did not respond with a statement. Brown’s rep called the visit a “rumor” and refused to comment.
In my opinion, Chris Brown should probably try to work on himself for awhile and not focus so much on the women in his life.
